Due to the anticipate snowstorm,
this service is now exclusively online over Zoom and YouTube.
Acknowledging that this season is not always joyful, The Longest Night is a safe and sacred space to mourn the losses and griefs of the year, to let the tears flow for the hurting places in our own lives, as well as for our country and our world.
Join us on Zoom at 7:30 pm by registering for your link. If you prefer, you can also watch the livestream on St. Peter’s YouTube channel . If you are able, you can join in some of the actions by having these items handy:
Paper for writing (even scrap paper)
Pen, marker, or pencil
One or more candles (up to four) or tea lights
A basket or bowl for the torn paper
As we write our laments, those at home may do the same. As we light our candles, those at home may do the same. As we engage in our act of sacred rending, those at home may do the same.
